Q Why is Belize, and areas such as the Placencia Peninsular in particular, an attractive destination for foreign buyers?

The New International Airport being built on the Placenica Peninsular is most significant. Not only will the International Airport increase accessibility but land values will also increase significantly. Therefore your purchase of a home or condo will increase substantially.

In addition the Placencia Peninsular is only a short boat ride away from the new Harvest Caye (90 AC private island port) development by Norwegian Cruise Line part of a $400M development that has been bringing many large scale investors to the area. The first ship is scheduled to arrive November 17th 2016. Smart money is being deployed in and around the Placencia Peninsular making purchasing a home or a condo a win-win situation.

Q What sets Placencia Peninsular/Belize apart from more mainstream destinations such as the Caribbean islands?

A There are no restrictions for foreigners purchasing homes or condos on the Peninsular. Purchasing real estate is like purchasing in the U.S or Canada and therefore very straight forward. Belize is part of the British Commonwealth Law and the major language is English.

Q What advice would you offer to potential buyers looking at purchasing a property in Belize?

Good purchases begin with good information…. Do your homework and deal with someone reputable.
